When asked how Phill got involved in the Cyber Forensics world, the answer is; “I blame a fascinating book I read in 1989. That book, “The Cuckoo’s Egg”. While it was a fascinating account of one of the first Internet spy rings, I embraced the concept of ‘Thinking Outside the Conventional Cyber Box’. This concept would make me curious as to why drives formatted on one computer had 12k less space than drives formatted on other systems. In the pre-google days, researching such topics was difficult and time-consuming, but it eventually led me to discover my first computer virus”

Phill Shade is a Certified Wireshark Academy Trainer, employed by SCOS ViaCloud to provide Official Wireshark Academy Classroom/Virtual/In house training in EMEA.

Phill developed special versions of the courses for Law Enforcement and Intelligence Services.
